​SPECIAL VISIT TO KTBC

Drogmi Buddhist Institute rejoices in our immense good fortune in welcoming His Holiness the 43rd Sakya Trizin Gyana Vajra Rinpoche to Kamalashila Tibetan Buddhist Centre from 31 March to 5 April 2026 for a special five-day retreat of empowerments, teachings and meditation.
 
His Holiness has kindly agreed to bestow the Vajrakilaya Khago Blessing, the Vajrakilaya Torma Empowerment, the Vajrapani Bhutadamara Empowerment and Fire Puja, and the Vajrasattva, Medicine Buddha, Green Tara, Buddha of Compassion (Avalokiteshvara), and White Tara Empowerments.   His Holiness will also give a teaching on “The Importance of the Practice of Dharma” and Khenpo-la will provide supplementary teachings and lead meditation sessions over the retreat period.

There will be a short welcome ceremony for His Holiness when he arrives at KTBC around 3pm on Tuesday 31 March.  The retreat will commence at 2pm on Wednesday 1 April and run until 5pm on Sunday 5 April (Easter Sunday).

​​​You can book by the individual empowerment, by the day or take advantage of a retreat package with the options of program only attendance, onsite accommodation and all meals, or camping onsite and all meals.  There is also the option to purchase tickets for lunch.
 
Please note that space is limited for both onsite accommodation and camping so please book early to ensure your place.

We are giving accomodation priority to those who book for the full five days of the event. Bookings for single days will be available from 13 March. 

Become a benefactor, major sponsor or sponsor for His Holiness's visit

As with previous visits by Sakya Masters there is the opportunity to support the visit as a Benefactor, Major Sponsor or Sponsor.
 
The Benefactor package is $3,500 and includes the full retreat program, accommodation, all meals, a private dinner with His Holiness and a commemorative gift.  We will contact Benefactors individually to confirm your attendance requirements.
 
The Major sponsor contribution is $2,000 and includes a 30% discount on the program, all meals and accommodation, a special major sponsors’ audience with His Holiness and a commemorative gift.
 
The Sponsor contribution is $1,000 and includes a 30% discount on the program, meals and accommodation and a commemorative gift.

Major Sponsors and Sponsors receive a 30 per cent discount. To receive a discount code, pay for the Major Sponsor or Sponsor package, and DBI will contact you with a special discount code to use when making your booking for the five-days, single days or individual empowerments.
 
Members and Friends of Drogmi get a 15 per cent discount (Benefactor package excepted).

Lunch
If you have booked for a program only option you can pay $20 to join us for lunch.
 
How to receive your discount
For Members and Friends, Major Sponsors and Sponsors, select the option you want then go to the checkout. Choose the 'coupon' option. Enter the discount code you have been given. Enter the discount code and click on ‘Apply’.
 
For Health Care Card and Pensioner Card holders, email [email protected], let us know your concession type and request the discount code.
