ARRIVALS - WELCOMING HIS HOLINESS THE SAKYA TRIZIN TO AUSTRALIA, 24 APRIL 2009

Many Rinpoches, lamas, students and members of the Tibetan Community in Australia gathered early in the morning of 24 April 2009 to welcome His Holiness the Sakya Trizin back to Australia. His Holiness arrived with His Eminence Gyana Vajra Rinpoche, Dagmo Sonam and their entourage. His Eminence Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, Her Eminence Jetsunma and Dagmo Kalden arrived in Sydney earlier in the week, and were at the airport to greet His Holiness.

Their arrival was followed by a welcome ceremony in traditional Tibetan style, with tea offerings, mandala offerings and kata offerings. His Holiness spoke warmly of the traditional welcome that he received and said that he was very pleased to be here in Australia.
