Shamatha retreat28 September-6 October 2018.
Starts 7pm 28 September and finishes Midday 6 October At this annual retreat, you will learn the practice of single pointed meditation in a naturally peaceful environment from a master who has been practicing these techniques for over 40 years. Includes all meals, accommodation, text and teachings. Shamatha is the Tibetan term for single pointed meditation. This can involve concentrating on one thing such as one's breath, a picture of a deity, or traditionally a blue flower. The purpose is to increase our ability to concentrate and focus. |

Healing and purification retreat

This is the 4th annual Healing and Purification Retreat at Kamalashila Tibetan Buddhist Centre. It is a great way to be prepared for a healthy and refreshed 2019 - away from everything, in amongst the most beautiful, peaceful and perfect environment for rejuvenation. Khenpo will bestow the Medicine Buddha and Vajrasattva transmissions, and then commence teachings. We need to hear these teachings over and over again, to help us deepen our understanding. |

RegulaR meditation at Croydon, NSWWe welcome people to attend our regular meditation sessions at Drogmi Buddhist Institute.
All sessions are held at Unit 2, First Floor, 20 Murray St, Croydon, Sydney. Shamatha meditation First and third Sunday of each month 10.30-11.30am - open to all “Shamatha” is the Tibetan term for single-pointed meditation. This practice combines a blend of guided meditations and rhythmic chanting. It is a restorative and relaxing meditation that increases one’s ability to concentrate and focus - essential for people looking to strengthen their practice and gain a deeper understanding of key Buddhist teachings. Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe leads this practice whenever he is in Sydney. Some practices are for initiates only. Green Tara practice - Buddha of compassionate action First and third Sunday of the month 9.30-10.30am Green Tara practice helps us overcome fears and obstacles, heal physical and mental illnesses and improve relationships. Tara is the mother of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and the word Tara means “Saviour” or “One Who Saves”. |

The Complete PathThe International Buddhist Academy in Kathmandu, Nepal, has launched an international seven year training program that encompasses the Tibetan Buddhist path in its entirety. This unique course is for Dharma practitioners of all levels to study and experience training on the theory and practice of the Mahayana and Vajrayana path as transmitted by the founding masters of the Sakya school ofTibetan Buddhism.
Drogmi Buddhist Institute is offering the first three years of the international training program. The final four years are offered at the International Buddhist Academy at Kathmandu. The program began in 2017, and subsequent years are open to students who began the course at that time. Read more |
