We invite you to follow in the footsteps of our revered teacher, Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe, by contributing to the laying of a new road at our Kamalashila Tibetan Buddhist Centre at Tilba Tilba.
For those of you who have journeyed to our centre in recent times, you will no doubt have experienced the challenging terrain of the road that leads up to the gompa and centre facilities. Due to the gradient of the road, it forms corrugations and potholes making it difficult and dangerous to make the drive up the hill. The weather pattern over the past few years has not helped. In light of this, we engaged an engineer to provide advice and secured two quotes to repair the road. We have decided to proceed with laying 100 metres of concrete which should give us 20-30 years of good use. Along with making the adjoining sections of the road good, the total cost of the project is $30,000. If we can get 100 people to donate $300 each ($300 for one metre or one step) that will cover the project costs and enable us to commence the project in the coming weeks. Khenpo-la has very kindly offered to lead the way with the first donation of $300. We now invite you to follow his lead in making make it easier for students of the Dharma to make their way to the teachings and practices at our Kamalashila Centre. You can make a donation below or you can make a direct deposit to our account (where no fees are incurred). If you would like to make a direct deposit please direct to: Account Name: Drogmi Buddhist Institute; BSB: 032-060; Account Number: 454-289. Please put the description “Path – [your name]”. If you have any questions, please contact us on [email protected]. We thank you in advance for your kind support. |
