Loving Kindness and Compassion Retreat, June 2013

The "Loving Kindness and Compassion" Retreat was held at the centre on 8-9 June, 2013. When describing compassion Khenpo taught that compassion is the root of Buddhahood. The definition of compassion is to free ourselves and all beings from the suffering and the causes of suffering. Wise compassion is the compassion that is based on wisdom; that is knowing what is harming ourselves and others, and then stopping it.
