Drogmi Buddhist Institute, in conjunction with Men-Tsee-Khang, Dharamshala, are pleased to announce the visit to Tilba and Sydney of Tibetan physician, Dr Tsundu Dolma, and Tibetan Astro Scientist, Ms Tenzin Tsundue.
Dr Dolma and Ms Tsundue will give public talks and private consultations at the Kamalashila Buddhist Centre, Tilba, from 24-26 August, Bega on 25 August and Sydney from 28-29 August. Their visit is part of an Australian outreach visit from Men-Tsee-Khang, the most prestigious institute of education, research and training in the fields of Tibetan Medicine and Astrology.
With a history dating back over 2500 years, traditional Tibetan medicine is one of the oldest continuously practised healing systems on Earth. Regarded as science, art and philosophy, Tibetan Medicine is an ancient form of holistic health care which aims to restore balance through diet, behaviour, herbs and external therapies such as massage.
Tibetan Astrology is an important part of Tibetan culture. It is interwoven into daily life and provides guidance for health and fortune and other external factors in people’s lives. It is also used in Tibetan Medicine to provide guidance to the Doctor with regards to diagnosis and treatment. Tibetan Astrology provides the wisdom, while the medicine provides the method.
