Friday 27 December 2019 to Wednesday 1 January 2020
Kamalashila Tibetan Buddhist Centre, Tilba

This retreat provides the opportunity for both reflection and preparation for the year ahead.  With a combination of instruction and time for individual practice in Shamatha (meditation) and Vajrasattva this is a wonderful opportunity to mindfully prepare for the new year.

Christmas is traditionally a time to spend with family and friends, catching up and taking the time to share with others the experiences of the year. It can be a hectic time and is closely followed by the end of year celebrations which can be a time to not only reflect on the year gone by but also look forward to the year ahead.  A retreat offers the opportunity to make the most of this period of reflection in a peaceful setting surrounded by forest and mountains and near the pristine coast.

The retreat will be led by Tony Agnew and Jack Heath, two experienced meditation practitioners.

Tony Agnew has been a student of the Buddha Dharma/meditation for more than 10 years. He first met Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe at Dharmachakra Gompa near Gympie in Queensland.  Since then Tony has attended teachings on meditation and participated in a number of meditation retreats in Nepal and in Australia.

Jack Heath has been a Buddhist practitioner for 25 years. He undertook his first meditation retreat at the Vipassana Meditation Centre in late 1994 when he was working as a Senior Adviser to Prime Minister Keating. A devoted student of Khenpo Ngawang Dhamchoe, Jack has received teachings from many great meditation masters and undertaken meditation retreats in Australia and overseas.
